Egress Window
This egress window incorporates a Hayfield casement window along with a poured concrete window well and escape ladder. The window well was dug down to the footing on the existing house and we placed a drain in the bottom of the well that ties into the existing drain tile that surrounds the house. The bottom of the window well is full of rock and gravel, giving ample drainage for heavy rainfall without filling to the level of the bottom of the window. The window design was custom built to satisfy the daylight requirement for basement bedrooms.
