In October of 2012, my wife and I began searching for a contractor to complete an addition and remodel of a 50-yr. old residence we had just purchased. Our goal was to find a contractor that would work with us to turn this property into a home that would fit our family. After interviewing and receiving two other bids from contractors, I elected to work with Tru-Built. My decision was based on their willingness to provide a cost-plus pricing method that was transparent, the strong recommendation of their work from others, their extensive construction experience that included a large number of successful
remodels, and a workforce that ensured a timely completion of the project.

Anyone whom has worked with a builder on a significant project understands the importance of effective communication with their builder. My general contractor assigned to our job was Jared Muth. From the very beginning, Jared impressed me with his availability to answer my questions. With hundreds of phone conversations over the past 6 months, there was never a time when Jared did not answer the phone immediately or call me back within 10 minutes.

Our project included several custom features, including re-using street pavers from the existing patio to build a Bar and Fireplace in our new basement, a TV hidden behind a 2-way mirror that appears through the glass when turned on, custom trim throughout, an outdoor fireplace framing in a 1500 square foot patio, and 9 foot ceilings in a new daylight basement attached to an existing finished basement with 7.5 foot ceilings. All of these requests were met with an open mind. I knew that any feature I desired could be accomplished, and the decision to move forward was done so, with expert council from Jared, and with full knowledge of the cost associated with that decision.

Jared demonstrated a commitment to our home, which you would expect from a builder, building the home for himself. Jared showed pride in his work, so much so, that he requested permission to show the project to others.

I watched Jared interact with his sub-contractors on several occasions, and was impressed with his respectful and yet pointed approach. I knew that the sub-contractors were held to a high standard of integrity and were expected to complete the job in and exemplary way. If on occasion, there was an unsatisfactory result, I could always expect a complete and timely resolution.

We moved into our new home two weeks ago, and are delighted with the end result. We continue to have ongoing communication with Jared, and consider him to be a friend of the family.
