The Lincoln Housing Authority has employed Tru-Built Construction, Inc. as a general contractor for a number of projects during the past six years. They have completed a total of over $2 million in construction projects for the Authority including the remodeling of kitchens and bathrooms, replacement of windows, installation of exterior siding and general office renovation. In addition, they have served as the general contractor twice for our Northeast High School House project. Each year students from Northeast High School build a house for LHA. A general contractor arranges for the excavating the basement, pouring the foundation, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and other work which must be performed by a licensed contractor rather than students. The contracts for all of this work were awarded through a formal bidding process.

All of the above work has been performed in a timely manner, quality of their construction work has been excellent and change orders to the original contracts were almost exclusively initiated by the Lincoln Housing Authority.

Much of the work has been performed in occupied units. Tru-Built’s Construction crews have treated our tenants in a courteous and considerate manner and they always leave the job site clean.

The Housing Authority would not hesitate to hire Tru-Built Construction in the future.
