Project Overview:

Though limited in scope, this restoration project focused on essential but often invisible repairs that will preserve the building for years to come:

The entire exterior was repaired and restored, with the exception of the roof. The project began by removing the old siding to expose underlying structural issues. Damaged framing was repaired, and for the first time in the building’s history, insulation and sheathing were added—the structure had never been properly sheathed before. New siding was custom-milled by a local craftsman to precisely match the original profile and appearance.

The original windows and door were carefully restored rather than replaced, maintaining the building’s historic character.

Interior work was minimal but targeted. The historic water fountain and bathroom sink were restored to working condition, and the small public restroom received a complete restoration. Throughout the interior, repairs and fresh paint refreshed approximately 80% of the space.
